A Poultry Farm Was Shut Down In Abu Dhabi For Posing A Risk to Public Health!

It’s no secret that the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority is constantly on its toes to ensure that the establishments in the emirate are following all the rules and regulations that upholds the safety of public health. However, there are times when these places end up being lax or just don’t follow the rules. In such instances, they pose a significant risk to public health, and that’s when the ADAFSA cracks down on them. Something similar happened to the poultry farm in Abu Dhabi that was shut down.

ADAFSA Shuts Down Al Fairooz Poultry Farm

The Al Fairooz Poultry Farm, which is located in the Al Ajban area of Abu Dhabi, has been shut down. This has been administratively shut down due to posing a significant risk to public health. The decision was taken by the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, and it was revealed in a post by them on social media. The farm was found violating Law No. (2) of 2008. This is regarding the food in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its associated legislation.

Not The Only Restaurant That Closed In The Emirates

Just the previous month, another eatery was shut down by Abu Dhabi, which was located on the Hamdan Street. The Spicy Restaurant Tamil Nadu was found violating food safety regulations and it was ordered administrative closure by the ADAFSA. In fact, back in 2024, several dining outlets and eateries in the emirate were closed down for failing to comply with the norms of the regulations. These places are closed for a number of reasons.

Previously, restaurants have been closed for having a dirty fridge or even insects crawling on the food preparation areas. In fact, the authorities have also asked people to be vigilant of such restaurants and to instantly make a complaint if they find things suspicious on the toll-free number provided by them.

Such immediate actions by the authorities truly make people in Abu Dhabi feel safe when eating outside.
