Our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, interviewed him last year and learned so many fascinating things about him like how he wrote poetry and recited it to his grandfather, Bal Thackeray. Aaditya Thackeray Told Us That He Is An Ex-Minister, Poet And Photographer
In conversation with Kamiya, Aaditya recalled a time when he wrote poems and had an interest in photography. He said, “Funnily, I call myself a former minister, former poet, former photographer.” He shared that even his grandfather would ask for updates about his poems.
On-demand, Aaditya would recite them to Bal Thackeray. He called it an embarrassing moment. But looking back at these lovely childhood memories, Aaditya thought that it was indeed nice of his grandpa to encourage him to pursue something he loved.
At one point, his grandfather even urged him to write a book and then finish a photo album! Grandparents and parents always want the best for their children and want them to reach new heights.

Kamiya Wanted To Know Why He Used The Word ‘Former’
What struck Kamiya the most was the way he used the word ‘former’ multiple times. She wondered why he hadn’t kept up with the hobbies and if he planned on taking them up in the future again. He told us, “Jabhi hoga toh hoga.” He means that currently, nothing is planned for photography and poetry. Eventually, if he feels like picking up a pen and writing a few stanzas or capturing the beauty of mundane life, he just might.
He also said that earlier he used to diligently go out of the house and roam around with his camera. But with time, the camera was replaced by mobile phones. It is quite handy and easygoing as compared to a huge camera. He believes that when you have a phone, you do not feel the need to carry a camera for clicking pictures professionally.

On top of that, the camera quality on mobile phones has improved significantly. He summed it up by saying, “You are anyway going to put it up on Instagram and not in an exhibition.”
