Manarat Al Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi will be filled with artworks and artists in the specified November week. For the 15th iteration of the event, Abu Dhabi Art, a significant platform rooted in the WANASA area art scene, is welcoming galleries from all over the world. Through the Abu Dhabi Art website, both new and recurring galleries have submitted ideas for the next 2023 edition.

The Modern & Contemporary category was one that exhibitors applied to. Modern and contemporary galleries with a minimum seven-year history of operation are eligible in the following category. The Special Projects section follows, where galleries with a minimum three-year period of operation may display solo or two-artist shows. Right after that the Emerge section has galleries exhibiting works of art priced under USD 3,000. The Focus sector is located next to them and features participating galleries with particular artists picked by a guest curator. With 80 galleries from 28 countries exhibiting more than 900 pieces by 300 artists from across the world, the 2022 expo had the biggest and most varied gallery lineup yet.

Campaign Artist, Artworks & More

Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim, an Emirati artist, has been named as 2023’s visual campaign artist by Abu Dhabi Art. Similar to previous years, a selection of his artwork will be on display to develop a worldwide campaign for the fair. This will allow an extensive global audience to become acquainted with his artwork. His artwork will also establish a unified visual identity for the show in November. Inscriptions, lines, and abstract shapes resembling prehistoric cave paintings are Ibrahim’s signature style. He uses them to mark time and memories via meditative repetition.

Ibrahim is one of the best painters working in the UAE right now. His selection as the visual campaign artist for this year’s fair is a continuation of a long-standing association with the event.

So, if you wish to spend a creative day in Abu Dhabi, be sure to reserve time for the upcoming art event.
