Are you someone who is planning to visit the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan? Well, as the holy month approaches the end, the Abu Dhabi Mobility has announced something special for the worshippers. Yes, it was recently announced that those who are headed to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque can now take the bus for free!

As revealed by the Abu Dhabi Mobility, the Integrated Transport Centre, which is an affiliate Department of Municipalities and Transport, revealed that 10 free buses that connect Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque to bus interchange in Al Rabdan area will be operational. This means you will be able to travel for free in the aforementioned stretch! As a result, this will ensure smooth and safe transportation throughout the holy month. In fact, the roads around the mosque and the signal-controlled intersections will also be monitored through digital surveillance cameras. As revealed in a report by Khaleej Times, this is being done with the aim of detecting any traffic congestion or emergencies. As a result, it will enable a smooth and safe flow of traffic.

Moreover, the Abu Dhabi Mobility has also provided mobile electronic signs that help in assisting visitors. This allows them to locate designated parking areas. Besides activating directional messages on fixed electronic variable message signs. Coming to taxis, a daily allocation of 100 taxis throughout Ramadan has been made to meet the needs of visitors going to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The number of taxis will, however, increase during the last days of the month. Finally, several field inspectors have also been deployed at traffic signals and intersections near the mosque to ensure that the traffic flow is smooth.
