Abu Dhabi International Airport Launches Kids Play Area This Summer

Abu Dhabi International airport launches new play areas for kids and five new baby changing rooms, ahead of the summer travel rush.

Abu Dhabi International airport has a sweet surprise for all travelers, this summer. With travelers flocking into the capital for summer break, the airport has introduced new facilities to keep kids entertained.

Terminal 1 and 3 have new play areas which will keep kids busy during long hauls. Terminal 1 has aviation-themed activities like a runway inspired floor mats, models of planes, a cloud slide and a baggage tunnel. The Terminal 3 also has an airport-themed play area along with a suitcase slide and child-friendly air traffic control.

In addition, the airport has also added five new baby changing rooms, proving more options for women.

Ahmed Al Shamisi, chief operations officer at Abu Dhabi Airports said: “The summer season is a popular time for families to travel, and we are delighted to invite parents and children to visit our new play areas and take advantage of the conveniently located baby-changing rooms across Terminals 1 and 3”.

The additions are part of the airport’s Feel Good, Fly AUH campaign, which offers passengers rewards when they fly via AUH between June and August. Travellers can also avail free Careem rides to AUH, a AED 100 voucher to use in duty-free, a free VIP Terminal departure with Diamond Lounge access, or seven days of free parking.
