A Part Of The Emirati Family Growth Programme
As it happens, it is part of the Emirati Family Growth Programme, which was earlier announced by the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi. The home visit programme announcement comes just days after Abu Dhabi extended maternity leave to 90 days for a woman who are working in the private sector in the emirate. In case you’re wondering about the Emirati Family Growth Programme, it includes several initiatives that aim to support UAE nationals, so that they can marry and raise children while building and growing their families. Yes, these include the following:
- Interest-free loans of up to AED1,50,000 to help them with wedding and early marital expenses, with a potential for loan forgiveness for couples who have two children within five years.
- Provision for temporary housing for newlyweds with rental assistance of up to AED75,000.
- Discount on housing loans amounting up to AED40,000 per child for a couple’s fourth, fifth, and sixth children.
- Extension of repayment period for housing loans without affecting the total loan amount. This will be applicable when the couple has the fourth, fifth, and sixth child.
