So, for the year 2025, Abu Dhabi has been named as the Global Host for International Jazz Day.

As revealed above, Abu Dhabi has been named the global host for the International Jazz Day for the year 2025. In case you’re wondering, Jazz Day is celebrated on April 30 every year and the next edition of this cultural festival is going to be taking place in Abu Dhabi. So, the cultural hotspot is bound to showcase a unique blend of Arabian and Emirati traditions along with the universal language of jazz. For the purpose of this festival, it has teamed up with the Department of Culture and Tourism and the emirate will be putting forth its rich cultural heritage under the spotlight.

Yes, if you happen to be a fan of this genre, you will get to hear some jazzy melodies of Oud, Qanoon, and Ney mixed along with jazz rhythms that are bound to introduce captivating sounds of Arabic Jazz to the world. International Jazz Day in the Emirates is going to feature educational programmes and community outreach initiatives.

HE Mohamed Al Mubarak, who is the Chairman of DCT Abu Dhabi mentions that this is an honour to be selected as the host of the 2025 edition of International Jazz Day. The recognition underlines the city’s thriving music scene and its unwavering commitment to cultural diversity and artistic excellence.
