New Year celebrations in the UAE are nothing short of a grand affair. All seven emirates try to do everything in their power to ensure that the celebrations are a memorable, not just for the residents, but even for tourists. And keeping up with the sentiment, Abu Dhabi has grand plans of hosting the world’s largest firework display this New Year’s Eve.
50-Minute Firework Display At Sheikh Zayed Festival
With plans of a 50-minute spectacle, the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Abu Dhabi has grand plans of hosting what’s going to be the world’s largest firework display. It also aims to break six Guinness world records during the celebration. Yes, this includes a 6000 drone show that creates aerial art for more than 20 minutes. As it happens, the fireworks are expected to begin every hour after 6 PM, which will then culminate in the record-bid midnight finale. Not to mention, there will also be laser shows, cultural performances, and a variety of activities to truly keep people mesmerised.
Other Firework Displays Around Abu Dhabi
As it happens, Yas Bay, which is situated on the island will also host two firework displays, which are scheduled for 9 PM and midnight. Other holiday destinations like Corniche will also offer firework displays.
Coming to the Liwa Festival, this ongoing fiesta offers plenty of cultural and entertainment activities, besides spectacular fireworks. And there are other festivals like those in the location of Al Dhafra, such as the Public Park at MAdinat Zayed, Ghayathi and Al Mughira Beach in Al Marfa. And they have plans for firework displays as well!

Not The Only Guinness World Record
So, this Guinness World Record is going to be easily possible as just the previous year, the Sheikh Zayed Festival fireworks were displayed for 40 minutes. As a result, it had ended up breaking three world records not just in terms of quantity but also time and formation. Also, more than 5000 drones had broken another Guinness world record of performing the largest aerial logo.
