For the occasion of the UAE National Day holiday, the Integrated Transport Centre of the Department of Municipality and Transport in Abu Dhabi has announced free public parking and darb tolls. Yes, with the 54th Eid Al Etihad holiday here, here’s all you need to know about the timings and fee changes for the holiday as revealed by the Gulf News.
ITC Announces 3 Days Of Free Public Parking Fees
The report mentioned how the public parking fees under the ‘Mawaqif’ system will be free from Sunday, November 30th, for three consecutive days. Additionally, a Times of India report also mentioned how Darb Tolls, which are an electronic road toll system, will also be suspended. This would allow the motorists to move freely without any charge. The normal fees and tolls will resume on December 3rd, which is a Wednesday. So, drivers will be able to make plans accordingly. The relief comes with the aim of making travel and celebrations across the city smoother.
Public Parking Zones Will Be Free

So basically, all public parking zones in Abu Dhabi from Sunday will be free of charge for three continuous days. This is a temporary relief and has been announced to ensure that there are seamless celebrations across the city. As it happens, the announcement was made by AD Mobility on its Instagram account through a post.
