Abu Dhabi’s Terminal 2 To Be Closed Temporarily

We know travel is a strict NO at this point in time. But, in case you’re in an unavoidable situation and are kicking off your trip from Abu Dhabi, here’s something you MUST know. Abu Dhabi’s Terminal 2 will be temporarily closed due to reschedules and route restrictions due to Covid-19.

All Terminal 2 operations will thereby be pushed to Terminal 1, on order to provide efficient operations. There is no update on when the terminal will be functional again. However, given that most public places in town are shut until the month end, we’re guessing the closure will be in place until March end.

Terminal 2 handles fewer flights than terminal 1. Airlines landing and taking off from the terminal include:

Air India
Pakistan International Airlines
Flynas
Rotana Jet
Turkmenistan Airlines
Biman Bangladesh Airlines

Meanwhile a number of airlines have announced cancellations and waiver policies keeping in mind the current scenario. Before you carry on with your travel plans make sure you check with your airline, national consulates, your country’s embassy as well as adhere to the latest advisories from the UAE.
