For rapper, singer-songwriter, King, the challenges he faced in his life shaped his creative process. Born Arpan Kumar Chandel, the Delhiite who has an equal love for his karmabhoomi, Mumbai, accompanied our Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani for a gedi around the ‘city that never sleeps’. During this gedi, the celebrity philosophically revealed two things that shape a person’s life.
King Shares His Philosophy In Life
While talking to Kamiya and savouring the drive, King said, “Pehli cheez ki aap kitne gathered ho, khud ke saath. Aur doosra, aap kis environment mein jaana chahte ho, woh do cheese life sort kar deti hai” (Two things can sort your life: Your self awareness and where you wish to go in life or the people you wish to spend time with. ). He threw light on situations where people spend an ample amount of time cursing the lack of opportunities. But King believes that the choice to decide with whom one wants to spend time with, is in one’s hands.
Kamiya asked King if he feels “gathered” himself. The singer replied in the affirmative. He revealed that he keeps working on himself. Every morning, he does feel scattered but tries to gather himself. Furthermore, she enquires if he meditates. But the singer revealed he isn’t able to as he finds it difficult to focus. “Main fraction of seconds keliyte focussed hota hoon” ( I can be focussed for just a fraction of seconds). The singer’s humility, self-awareness and candidness made the conversation a very engaging one.
