After the monsoon and cyclone seasons, services resumed, and authorities reopened tourism in the area. Together, the port authorities of Kakinada, Irrigation, and Tourism have authorised 15 boats for Papikondalu excursions.
The initial trip to Papikondalu, an eight-hour boat ride along the Godavari River, sparked enthusiasm and boosted the local economy, showcasing the region’s natural beauty and introducing a new start for tourism. Visitors arrive at the boating spot by 9:30 AM with the trips departing from Rajamahendravaram at 7:30 AM.
Ch. Pavan Kumar, the divisional manager of the Tourism Department, highlighted the safety and comfort measures, including practice drills, implemented before the relaunch to ensure tourists have a safe and enjoyable experience, as reported by The Times of India.
The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) is offering affordable tickets for families and solo travellers to explore the region’s beauty, with adults paying ₹1,250 and children aged 3-10 years paying ₹1,000, available for booking on their website.
Boat services have resumed at Pochavaram Point in the Chintur division of the ASR district, enhancing tourists’ experience of the breathtaking Godavari landscape and boosting the local economy.
One-Day Pilgrim Tour In Andhra Pradesh’s Rajamundry
In Rajahmundry, Kandula Durgesh, the minister of tourism, has started a one-day pilgrimage tour. This tour focuses on spiritual sites like Korukonda, Annavaram, Draksharamam, Samalkota, Pithapuram, and Vadapalli temples. The tour, available every Saturday at 6 AM, culminates with the Akhanda Harati at Pushkara Ghat in Rajamahendravaram at 6:30 PM.
