After 7 Years, Aurangabad Is Going To Celebrate Ellora-Ajanta International Festival This Feb At Soneri Mahal

If Aurangabad is on your travel list, now is the time to book your tickets. Why? Well, the famous Ellora-Ajanta International Festival is back after seven years! And this time, you will get to hear Sufi rhythms and Marathi folk music. This three-day music affair filled with notable artists will be a soul-soothing experience you don’t want to miss. After seven years, the city of Aurangabad will witness the magical Ellora-Ajanta International Festival. It will be held at Soneri Mahal, a historic place, from the 25th to the 27th of February. Before the actual festival, there will be a pre-festival event called ‘Purvarang’.

With Marathi musical performances, this event will take place on 12th of February at Sant Eknath Rang Mandir in Osmanpura. Moreover, there will be Hindi performances in addition to the Marathi ones. Among many artists, Soniya Parchure and her group will be performing. Also, there will be a musical event called ‘Sanj Amrutachi’, and Sufi and Hindi artists including Shalmali Sukhtankar, Mandar Apte, Ashish Deshmukh and Madhu will perform at this event.

The main festival will have artists from everywhere showcasing their talents. As for musical performances, the lineup for this event is pretty interesting. Ustad Rashid Khan, Sangeeta Mazumdar, Ustad Shujaat Khan, Shivmani, Vijay Ghate, Mahesh Kale, Ravi Chari, and Shankar Mahadevan are a few of the notable artists who will be performing at this event.
