India And China To Resume Flight Operations Soon
In the past, we have read multiple news reports about political unrest between these Asian countries. After a long period of expected and unexpected announcements, India and China decided to recommence direct air travel between these nations. After nearly five years, relations have enhanced leading to this significant decision.
On January 27, India’s foreign ministry announced the agreement between India and China. At an early date, the concerned authorities of both countries will meet and negotiate a framework for the flight services. Recently, a meeting was organised in Beijing that concluded with an end to frosty ties and signalling better opportunities for enhanced connectivity. Indian foreign secretary Vikram Misri, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, and Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong attended the meeting in the Chinese capital.
Vikram Misri’s recent visit to Beijing highlighted a significant step to revive several measures and take concrete action to resume direct air travel. Following the meeting, the Ministry of External Affairs stated that both sides reviewed the state of India-China bilateral relations comprehensively. The world’s two most populous countries decided to work on enhancing ties and take people-centric steps.

More About The Recent Meeting In Beijing
The Ministry of External Affairs released a statement and specified that both sides are interested in taking necessary measures to boost people-to-people exchanges “including media and think-tank interactions.”
Another significant outcome of the meeting is the resumption of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra in the summer season of 2025. On this holy pilgrimage, pilgrims from India travel to Kailash Mansarovar region in Tibet. A couple of years back, this sacred trip was suspended.
