2023 is definitely going to be known as the year of earthquakes. We must have seriously pissed off some divine entity because one after another, many parts of the country, and the world, are being hit by earthquakes. Recently, the town of Chamba in Himachal Pradesh was hit by an earthquake that measured more than 3.5 magnitudes on the Richter scale. Now, it is Himachal Pradesh’s Kinnaur that was hit by a minor earthquake.
Himachal Pradesh’s Kinnaur Hit By An Earthquake
The district of Kinnaur in Himachal Pradesh was recently hit by an earthquake that measured 2.8 magnitudes on the Richter scale. This is the second minor earthquake this week to hit the state of Himachal Pradesh.
The epicentre of the earthquake was near the region of Dhar Lanati in Kinnaur. This region is about 300 kilometres from the capital of the state, which is Shimla. The tremors were felt in the middle of the night around 12:51 AM on the 22nd of March, Wednesday.
Thankfully though, no damage to properties or loss of lives was reported as a result of this earthquake. Apart from this quake, a few tremors were also felt in many parts of North India, including Delhi.

Second Earthquake In The State This Week
If you’ve been following the news, you know that many parts of the world are being hit by earthquakes. Just a couple of days ago, the town of Chamba in Himachal Pradesh was shaken by an earthquake.
This is the second one in to hit Himachal Pradesh within the week. Just yesterday, tremors were felt in North India and parts of Delhi. Many earthquakes have also hit the northeastern part of India as well.
Not only India, but earthquakes have also hit regions throughout the world. On Sunday, Ecuador was hit by a massive earthquake of 6.8 magnitudes on the Richter scale. Even parts of Japan were hit by some earthquakes.
