Just a few days after Delhi woke up to the news of a roof collapse at the Delhi Airport Terminal 1, another similar incident happened in the city. A temporary shed at Hyatt Regency Delhi collapsed on Monday. The incident caused minor head injuries to a couple standing nearby as they were trapped in the debris. The Delhi Police has launched an investigation to find the cause of the shed collapse.
Temporary Roof Collapses At Hyatt Regency Delhi
A temporary shed collapsed at Hyatt Regency Delhi on Monday. The incident happened around 8 PM at the 5-star hotel in southwest Delhi and ended up injuring two people. Thankfully, they only sustained minor head injuries and were rushed to the Fortis Hospital in Vasant Kunj for immediate medical assistance. They were discharged after receiving proper first aid.
As per a report in NDTV, the injured couple has been identified as Amit Jain and Reva Jain. They came to Delhi from Ludhiana and were staying at the hotel. When the temporary shed collapsed, the couple was standing near the swimming pool. They ended up trapped in the debris when a portion of the shed collapsed and fell on them. The couple later made a PCR call and informed the Delhi police about the whole incident.

Police Starts Probe To Determine What Causes The Roof To Collapse
As per the Delhi Police, they received a call at around 8:56 PM on Monday about a roof collapse at Hyatt Regency Delhi that injured the couple. Upon reaching the hotel, they forensically examined the spot and took all the necessary actions. While the couple has not filed a case yet, the police have reassured them that they will take all the necessary actions as per law. They will launch a probe to know more about the cause of the roof collapse. As of now, Hyatt Regency Delhi has yet to make a comment about this whole matter.
