The construction of this particular flyover has seen many obstacles and hurdles owing to which, its opening was significantly delayed. However, the work for this landmark flyover in Bengaluru is finally complete as per the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation or BMRCL.
Situated along the Yellow Line of the Bengaluru Metro, the upper deck of the flyover will be used by the Namma Metro and the lower deck will be used for vehicular traffic. If reports are to go by, the metro corridor is a total of 16 metres above the ground.
The road flyover, however, is only eight metres above the ground. Once the double-decker flyover is opened, motorists will be able to ply between CSB and Ragigudda without the obstruction of a traffic signal.

According to an article which was recently published by Moneycontrol, it is likely that the flyover will open on Saturday after due inspection is conducted by the authorities. It is important to note, however, that the flyover will not open fully. Only the side from Ragigudda to CSB will be open for vehicular movement.
Such double-decker structures are already functioning in cities like Mumbai, Nagpur and Jaipur. This, however, is the first one for the city of Bengaluru. The signal-free corridor also promises to reduce traffic congestion and bottlenecking.
This along with the completion of the Yellow Line has been one of the most anticipated infrastructural developments by the citizens of Bengaluru.
