Rockit, a Mumbai-based beverage brand founded by FMCG expert Vedant Garg, has successfully raised a pre-seed funding of ₹6 crore (approximately US$750,000). The funding round was led by Sauce.VC and actor Rannvijay Singha.
Rannvijay Invests In Beverage Brand Rockit
Sauce.VC, a leading investor specializing in early-stage consumer brands, joined the Rockit venture from its inception. They’re working closely with Rockit’s management to identify market gaps and build a unique brand identity within the beverage industry. Rockit offers a range of energy drinks and is establishing its presence across multiple channels, with an initial focus on North Indian states like Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. Pan-India expansion is planned for the future.
The brand recently launched a digital film that captures the essence of Rockit and its connection with the aspirations of modern youth. The film features Rannvijay in various high-energy scenarios, embodying the spirit of adventure and individuality that Rockit represents. Rannvijay Singha is known not just for his television appearances but also for being a successful angel investor. He has invested in several startups across various sectors, with some notable exits. His interest in investing in the food and beverage sector is well-known with brands like Rage Coffee, Burger Singh and more.
Rockit is jumping into the booming energy drink market with its first product, a berry-flavoured drink priced to appeal to a wide range of consumers. Berry flavours dominate this market, accounting for nearly 90% of its volume. Currently, a single brand holds a significant market share, creating an excellent opportunity for new, profitable brands to emerge.

Rockit Energy Drink underwent a soft launch in Haryana, receiving positive feedback on both taste and packaging. The brand has a pipeline of exciting future products, including additional energy drinks, fruit-flavoured beverages, and hydration products.
Rockit’s strategy focuses on omnichannel distribution, starting with key states before expanding nationwide. They also plan to diversify their product portfolio beyond energy drinks to offer a wider range of options to Indian consumers.
