The Delhi traffic police have issued an advisory regarding the second day of Diljit Dosanjh’s highly-anticipated concert on Sunday, October 27, 2024, and other weekend activities that may impact travel in the national capital region. The renowned performer’s shows at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, are expected to draw crowds of more than 60,000 people. Delhi Police Issues Traffic Advisory For Diljit Dosanjh’s Concert
According to an article which was recently published by the Hindustan Times or HT, adding to the weekend’s activities, the Radha Soami congregation, running from 25 to 27 October, will also attract substantial crowds.
To manage the anticipated congestion on the capital’s roads, authorities have implemented comprehensive traffic arrangements. For those attending the Radha Soami Satsang Complex events, entry will be permitted via Bhati Mines Road, with ample parking facilities available within the complex premises.
Notably, parking along SSN Marg has been prohibited. Significant restrictions have been placed on heavy vehicles, which will not be permitted on Bhati Mines Road between Chattar Pur Road (SSN Marg) and Gurgaon Road T-Point from 4 AM to 4.30 PM.
Road Diversions, Traffic Restrictions And Other Details To Know
These vehicles will instead be diverted through alternative routes: via Mandi Road-Jona Pur cut to Mehrauli Gurugram Road, and near Mallu Farm on Badh Road cut on Bhati Mines Road to Joan Pur Mehrauli Gurugram Road.
Emergency vehicles, including ambulances and fire brigade units, will maintain unrestricted access to all roads throughout these periods. The police have urged all event attendees to plan their journeys in accordance with these regulations to minimise congestion.
They have emphasised the importance of observing traffic rules patiently, with police personnel stationed along the affected routes to provide guidance as needed. To further alleviate traffic pressure, authorities have strongly recommended the use of public transport wherever possible.
