As Bengalureans gear up to watch the much-awaited India vs Afghanistan T20 cricket match, Bengaluru Traffic Police have issued an advisory for commuters. The T20 cricket match will take place from 2 pm onwards at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. So, read on to know more about this advisory issued to avoid congestion and facilitate smooth vehicular movement in the Karnataka capital.

Bengaluru Police Issue Traffic Advisory For IND vs AFG Match

Bengaluru Police issued a traffic advisory dated Tuesday. The advisory states that the India vs Afghanistan T20 International cricket match will be held on January 17, 2024, from 2 pm to 11:30 pm at M. Chinnaswammy Stadium/ To ensure a smooth flow of traffic, the police have made specific traffic arrangements. Furthermore, the advisory informs that parking of all kinds of vehicles is prohibited on certain roads mentioned.

Here’s a list of roads where both visitors to the stadium and commuters won’t be allowed to park their vehicles.

  • Vittal Mallya Road
  • Nrupathunga Road
  • Lavelle Road
  • Kasturiba Road
  • Dr BR Ambedekar Road
  • Cubbon Road
  • Museum Road
  • St Marks Road
  • Central Street,
  • Raj Bhavana Road
  • Queens Road
  • MG Road

Here’s a list of roads, where commuters and visitors can pay and park their vehicles

  • UB City Parking Lot
  • BMTC Shivaji Nagara 1st Floor
  • Kings Road

Avoid Roads In & Around Chinnaswamy Stadium

However, parking at these spots will be subject to availability, states the advisory. Moreover, very importantly, other than spectators, all other residents and commuters are urged to avoid roads in and around M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The public is requested to cooperate and use alternative roads instead.

The India vs Afghanistan T20 match in Bengaluru is India’s final T20 game before the World Cup in June.
