With the summer vacations here, many people are travelling within the UAE or abroad to truly enjoy the time with the family. And with many citizens and expats living in the country having plans for the summer, Dubai International Airport is gearing up for one big summer vacation travel rush. Starting today till July 17, DXB is going to face a massive travel rush. For this purpose, they have released an advisory for the non-passengers.
DXB Announces Advisory Ahead Of Summer Rush
Similar to the Eid al-Adha rush, only passengers will be allowed to enter inside the terminal during the peak period. According to a report by the Khaleej Times, it was mentioned that authorities have advised people to drop their family members quickly. And for this purpose, they have been advised to exchange their farewell at home. Not to mention, arrival forecourt access for both Terminals One and Three has been restricted to public transport and authorised airport vehicles only. These restrictions have been put in place, just ahead of the massive summer rush that is being expected at the DXB.

3.3 Million Guests Expected To Travel Via DXB
In fact, it is expected that from July 6 to 17, 3.3 million guests will be arriving and departing from the terminal. Not to mention, 9,14,000 travellers are expected to fly out of Dubai International Airport. The travel period is expected over the weekend of July 12 to 14, during this time, DXB is expected to welcome 8,40,000 passengers. This will mark its busiest weekend with the busiest day is projected to be July 13, as 2,86,000 passengers are expected to transit from the airport.
Due to the massive travel rush, fly-by passengers have been advised to arrive four hours before departure while those flying through other airlines have been asked to arrive not earlier than three hours. In fact, Dubai Airport has advised people to use Dubai Metro to travel between Terminals One and Three to avoid congestion on the road.
