Ahead Of The Holiday Season, Emirates Airline Issues 7 Tips For Passengers To Ease Their Travel

As the festive season begins with the UAE National Day and Christmas period taking over the excitement of people, there are many who are planning a vacation in the coming days. So, Emirates has recommended its customers plan their travel accordingly this December. Yes, the departure numbers are expected to peak through the festive month, especially over the UAE National Day and Christmas period, during which over 75,000 Emirates passengers are expected to leave from the Dubai International Airport every day.

Emirates Issues Guidelines For Passengers

Ahead of the peak in travel numbers, Emirates customers have been advised to arrive at the airport at least up to three hours before the flight takes off. Not to mention, travellers have also been asked to take note of their boarding time to ensure they reach the departure gate on time. As it happens, they can take advantage of the wide array of check-in and baggage drop options, like the Emirates City Check-In & Travel Store. Not to mention, the newly refurbished First and Business Class Check-In areas in Dubai International Airport are also going to make it a lot more convenient, just like the private home check-in service and remote check-in facilities.

Here’s what they have mentioned in their guidelines:

1. Download The Emirates App

The Emirates App is perfect for not just checking your flight details but for also booking and changing flights or even downloading a digital boarding pass. As such, you can also pre-order your hot meal in Business Class while also booking a chauffeur-driven service. Not to mention, Online check-in and app check-in, both are available 48 hours before the flight departs.

2. Drop Luggage Off At The Airport A Day In Advance

Instead of going through the hassles of getting all the formalities done on the day of travel, passengers who’re departing from Dubai can check-in early and even drop off their bags 24 hours early. While those who are travelling to the USA can do so 12 hours before the departure.

3. Quick Check-In At Emirates City Check-In & Travel Store

As mentioned previously, this helps in saving time and it’s present in the CD Brookfield Place, Dubai International Financial Centre. As it is conveniently located in the heart of the business district, customers will be able to check-in, drop their luggage and even enjoy the glamorous surroundings while they do so. And it’s available from 24 hours to up to 4 hours before the flight departs. Additionally, they can check-in at any time from 8 AM to 10 PM daily.

4. Check-In For Ajman Flights

People who are flying from Ajman can also make use of the 24-hour city check-in at Ajman Central Bus Terminal. Yes, they can check-in up to 4 hours before the flight departs, which includes checking-in the baggage, collecting boarding passes, and buying a bus ticket for AED20. After this, they can directly go to the Emirates Terminal 3. At this point, it’s worth mentioning that the regular bus departure happens throughout the day from 4 AM to 11:30 PM.

5. Check-In Remotely

You can do so remotely, as passengers are offered the service in Dubai and Sharjah. Yes the DUBZ agents complete the check-in process at the customer’s home, office, or hotel and take the bags to the flight, leaving them free to just breeze through the airport. They can book this service at least 24 hours before a flight and then proceed to the airport check-in about six hours before departure.

6. Pre-Order Your Duty Free Shopping

You no longer have to time yourself at the duty free, instead, you can pre-order all you wish to buy, by shopping on emiratesRED.com. Yes, it also gives you access to exclusive duty free products that are then delivered to the seats in the air. Luxury brands like Loewe, Mont Blanc, La Mer, and Yves Saint Laurent are just some of the many that are part of this feature.

7. Special Assistance For People Of Determination

Offering special assistance for people of determination, there are trained Emirates and airport staff that will ease travelling for them over the festive period. As it happens, this includes pre-planning a guide for the DXB, especially for those with hidden disabilities and two hours complimentary parking at the airport. Not to mention, access is also given to a dedicated priority lane for check-in, passport control, security, and priority boarding when required
