Ahmedabad To Mundra Gets New Air Link, Star Air Flights To Operate 3 Days A Week

Star Air, the aviation arm of the Sanjay Ghodawat Group, is all set to launch direct flights between Ahmedabad and Mundra in Kutch from August 17, 2026, creating a new air link between two of Gujarat’s major economic centres. Read on to know more.

Star Air Launches Direct Flights From Ahmedabad-Mundra

The standard route will link Ahmedabad, a major commercial, educational and business hub, with Mundra, home to India’s largest private port and an important centre for logistics, exports and industrial activity.

The new service is expected to benefit business travellers, professionals, entrepreneurs and families by providing a faster alternative to the long road journey between the two destinations. According to Star Air, the direct connection will also support economic activity by improving access to industries and businesses operating around the Mundra port and Kutch region.

Timings Of The New Ahmedabad-Mundra Flights

The Ahmedabad-Mundra service will operate three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Flight S5 628 will depart Ahmedabad at 6:40 am and arrive in Mundra at 7:30 am. The return flight, S5 629, will leave Mundra at 6:40 pm and reach Ahmedabad at 7:30 pm.

Shilpa Bhatia, Chief Commercial & Marketing Officer at Star Air, stated that the service would provide a strategic connection between two of Gujarat’s important economic centres. The route will also make travel faster and more comfortable for businesses and communities.

Mundra has developed rapidly over the past ten years, with its port playing a key role in India’s international cargo. The region has also attracted industrial investment and generated employment across logistics, manufacturing and related sectors. The new flight is expected to make the region more accessible to travellers from Ahmedabad and beyond.
