Air Canada Expansion

Air Canada, Canada’s largest airline, has announced a significant expansion to its India route network. The expansion focused on increasing seat capacity by 40%, will take effect from late October for the upcoming winter season.

Air Canada Announces Expansion Of Flight Network

This move reflects the growing travel demand between Canada and India. Air Canada will offer a total of 25 weekly flights, providing approximately 7,400 seats each week for passengers travelling from Canada to various destinations in India. The expanded service includes up to 11 weekly flights from Toronto to both Delhi and Mumbai. This will be a good piece of news for travellers in Canada’s largest city as it offers greater flexibility and potentially more competitive fares.

Air Canada is also enhancing connectivity from other parts of Canada. Passengers in Montreal will benefit from daily flights to Delhi, while those in Western Canada can look forward to daily connections to Delhi via London’s Heathrow.

Stronger Links Between Canada And India

Air Canada’s network expansion reflects the strong cultural and economic ties between Canada and India. With a large Indian diaspora in Canada, this increased capacity will cater to the needs of those visiting family and friends in India. Additionally, it will make it easier for business travellers to travel between the two countries.

Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President of Revenue and Network Planning at Air Canada expressed optimism about the expansion and stated that they look forward to welcoming customers onboard. This sentiment is likely shared by many travellers who will benefit from the increased choice, convenience, and potentially more affordable fares offered by Air Canada’s winter service expansion.

With more flights and seats available, travellers between Canada and India can expect a more competitive travel market. This could lead to lower fares, particularly outside of peak travel seasons. Additionally, the increased service provides greater flexibility when planning your trip, allowing you to choose flights that best suit your schedule and budget.
