Air India has achieved a remarkable milestone as the airline has been named Asia’s Leading Airline Inflight Entertainment 2024 at the prestigious World Travel Awards (WTA) held in Manila. This victory marks the first time an Indian airline has received this accolade.

World Travel Awards, often called the “Oscars of the travel industry,” celebrates excellence across all sectors of global travel and tourism. The awards spotlight outstanding achievements and innovations. With this recognition, Air India joins an elite group of global airlines that have previously won this honour.

The award highlights the comprehensive suite of Inflight Entertainment (IFE) content available on Air India’s Airbus A350 fleet. Air India’s new IFE features over 3,000 hours of entertainment across various formats and genres. Passengers can enjoy 1,400 hours of movies, 850 hours of television, and 1,000 hours of audio, catering to today’s discerning travellers.

  • Indian Cinema: Air India boasts the largest library of Indian content in the skies. Guests can select from over 300 Indian films spanning decades and genres. The new catalogue includes a rich array of regional cinema, featuring 120 regional movies in eight languages. Additionally, it offers popular web series and engaging digital content.
  • Hollywood Blockbusters: The airline’s Hollywood collection caters to all tastes, showcasing nearly 300 films, including BAFTA and Oscar-winning titles.
  • International Favourites: Air India’s repertoire includes films in 13 languages, such as French, Spanish, German, and Mandarin. This selection features critically acclaimed films from around the globe.
  • Television and Digital Content: The inflight library offers over 1,400 episodes of Western, Indian, and international TV shows. Passengers can access a selection from major streaming platforms, including Paramount+, HBO, and Hulu. The library also features content from Vogue, GQ, and The New Yorker.
  • Audio Experience: Air India Radio enhances the audio experience with exclusive shows hosted by popular RJs. The airline offers celebrity interviews, artiste specials, and an extensive music library. The collection features over 1,200 choices, including 190 curated playlists across various genres.
  • Kids Zone: Young flyers can enjoy over 100 hours of curated content divided into three sections: Pre-School, Kids, and Teens, ensuring entertainment for all ages.
