Air India Flight From Delhi-Thiruvananthapuram Delayed For 9 Hrs
The passengers on an Air India flight to Thiruvananthapuram were stranded in Delhi for nine hours. On Saturday, the flight was due to leave the IGI airport in New Delhi at 9:45 pm and land in Thiruvananthapuram at 12:30 am.
Kerala Kaumudi reported that the voyage was hampered due to no pilots. Air India officials didn’t disclose the cause until after a significant outcry from passengers. The Pilot Was Late For Duty!
International passengers who preferred a connecting flight from Delhi to Thiruvananthapuram were also stranded. Following the initial protest discussions, the officials pledged to restart travel in an hour. However, the delay persisted, and it was at this point that Air India authorities disclosed the shortage of pilots. At one in the morning, the passengers received the news.
In accordance with the regulations, if the delay is confirmed before midnight, the airline operator is required to give customers accommodations. Because the officials only told them of the delay at one in the morning, the passengers accuse them of being sneaky in order to shamefully avoid having to provide lodging options.
PC Vishnunath, a Congress MLA, was one of the stranded travellers. The congressman expressed his displeasure with the way India’s top airlines treated their passengers. Yesterday, a flight from Mumbai to Kozhikode was delayed because the captain unintentionally fell asleep in the waiting area while taking a siesta.
