Air India Express has officially launched operations from Manohar International Airport (GOX) in North Goa on April 15, 2025. This is great news for travellers heading to or from Goa. The new routes will complement the airline’s existing services from Dabolim Airport in South Goa (GOI). It will also strengthen Goa’s position as a major travel hub for both domestic and international flights.
New Flights From Mopa Airport
The airline now offers twice-daily flights between North Goa and Delhi, as well as daily flights to Bengaluru, Indore, and Chennai (operating six days a week). Starting May 3, there will also be flights between Hyderabad and North Goa. On the international side, direct flights to Kuwait will start on May 3, and services to Abu Dhabi will begin on May 5.
These new routes aim to enhance connectivity, making travel to and from Goa more accessible for both leisure and business travellers. The expansion is expected to boost tourism and economic ties between Goa and key domestic and international destinations, providing greater flexibility and convenience for passengers.
The first passenger on the inaugural flight received a ceremonial boarding pass at the launch event. Senior officials from Air India Express, the airport operator, customs, CISF, and other partners were also present to mark the occasion.

A Boost For Goa’s Connectivity
With this new service, over 115 weekly flights will now operate from Goa. While 40 flights will depart from Mopa (GOX), 75 will continue from Dabolim (GOI). This expansion makes it easier for travellers to visit North Goa’s beautiful beaches, historic sites, and lively nightlife. The increased connectivity also offers more options for business travellers and tourists alike, making Goa an even more accessible destination. As the region continues to grow in popularity, these new flights will play a key role in supporting its development.
