Though the cabin crew assured passengers that the flight would take off soon, that never happened in the next few hours. Frustrated flyers wanted to deboard the aircraft and rest in the terminal building. However, they were not allowed to do so. Instead, they had to sit on the flight for over 7 hours.

At 5:30 AM, they deboarded the flight after the cabin crew highlighted a technical issue. After spending 2 hours in security check, they boarded the same Air India Express flight to travel to Pune.
