It announced a massive expansion by launching new flights from Agartala, Imphal, and Guwahati.

This new announcement is a part of the low-cost airline’s winter schedule. With the grand launch, Air India Express is all set to expand its winter services nationwide and enhance operations at the same time. The broader plan prioritises growing its blueprint in Northeast India. In 2023, the airline operated 63 weekly flights from Guwahati during winter. Now, the number has surged to 106.
Air India Express’s direct flight services from this city in Assam include journeys to Agartala, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jaipur, and Kolkata. Also, the airline offers one-stop connections to 6 international and 18 domestic destinations. With the recent surge in flights, Guwahati aims to be one of the most significant and bustling airport hubs, especially in Northeast India.
The Indian airline hiked its flights in Imphal this year. From 14 weekly flights in the winter season of 2023, the airline surged the overall flight operations to 34 in 2024. With this, it marked a noteworthy uptick in operations from Imphal this winter season by including 20 more flights.
About The Low-Cost Airline’s Flight Operations From Agartala
Air India Express initiated flight services in Agartala in September 2024. It has been only some weeks since its operations kickstarted here. Within this short span of remaining active in Agartala and connecting to different parts of India, the airline increased the number of flights at this new place. From 14, it jumped to 21 operations. Passengers can easily get direct connectivity to Guwahati and Kolkata. In addition, there are direct air routes to 11 domestic cities.
