Air India airline is undergoing a spectacular transformation journey. The Tata group-owned airline made a remarkable accomplishment recently by completing the acquisition of the A350-900 aircraft. On Friday, Air India finalised the acquisition. The airline completed the entire process to achieve something so significant this Friday. A finance lease transaction was conducted with HSBC for acquisition, according to a report by the Financial Express. With this crucial transaction, Air India stepped forward with the launch of its maiden wide-body aircraft. Along with this introduction, the airline also played a major role in India’s first International Financial Services Centre.

Air India issued a statement sharing that it is the first scheduled carrier in India that made the acquisition of an aircraft from an entity registered in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City, according to a report by Hindustan Times.

Air India is working on different platforms and areas for its splendid transformation. One of its major plans includes introducing the first A350-900 aircraft in India in 2023. And like most of the plans, the airline is ticking off on everything. The Tata-owned airline recently made the announcement of the complete acquisition of the Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

The expanding fleet of Air India has 116 aircraft at the present moment. It has 14 A319s, 36 A320 neos, 13 A321 ceos, and 4 A321 neos, 8 B777-200LRs, 14 B777-300s, 27 B787-8s, and 49 wide-body aircraft.
