If you’ve worked in Customer Service, you know how rude some people can be. Recently, a corporate head of a big finance company was offloaded from an Air India flight when she behaved rudely with the crew members. She was allowed on the next flight only when she gave reassurances about her behaviour. Here are all of the important details that you would need to know about this singular incident.
Air India Offloads Finance Company Corporate Head
According to an article which was recently published by The Times Of India or TOI, this incident took place on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. The flight on which it happened was numbered AI-161. The flight was heading to London from the Indira Gandhi International Airport or IGIA in Delhi.
If reports are to go by, the executive started arguing with the crew members and being rude to them soon after she boarded the business class. When her rude behaviour continued to persist, the crew members intimated the pilot about it.
Given that the flight would be a long one, she was viewed as a potentially unruly passenger. The pilot, therefore, decided to deboard her. Since her baggage was already checked in, offloading it took time. This ended up delaying the flight by an hour.
Allowed On The Next Flight Only After Reassurance Of Her Behaviour
The TOI article said that the rude passenger was allowed on the next flight only after reassurance of her behaviour. As per an Air India spokesperson cited in the TOI article, the passenger was offloaded at the behest of the captain.
The spokesperson also said that Air India accords top priority to the safety of passengers as well as the crew members.
