Air travel has always been about convenience and comfort. However, now and then, we hear about the unfortunate experiences of travellers. Recently, an Air India passenger, travelling with his kids, shared how he had to go through ‘8 hours of absolute chaos’ because the tray table of his seat didn’t open. Scroll on to know all about this experience.

Air India Passenger Shares Experience Of Travelling Without Tray Table

An Air India passenger, Mr. Credible (@mistercredible), took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his experience with the airline recently. He claimed that while travelling with his kids recently, he discovered that the tray table failed to open in the seat they were assigned.

“They made me sign a consent form at the check-in counter. Alternative? Sit separately from my kids and let the whole flight suffer. So, I had no other option but to sign,” he mentioned in the post. It is interesting to note that he had actually paid extra for those seats during web check-in, presumably to ensure that he was seated with the kids. As seating away from the kids wasn’t an option, the Air India passenger decided to endure eight hours of “absolute chaos” while flying.

In his post, the Air India passenger further shared how he had to balance “food in one hand, a drink in the other” because the tray table was not functional. Adding to his nightmarish experience, he mentioned that he had to balance the kids’ meals on his knee as well. If all this wasn’t enough to make his journey awful, the turbulence was the cherry on top of his chaotic journey. He ended the post with, “I really wanna support Air India, but they make it so damn tough.”

Air India responded to his grievance and said that they understood his disappointment. They further asked the passenger to share his booking details, so they could look into the matter.
