An Air India flight from Sydney to Delhi witnessed a horrible incident. A passenger had allegedly slapped an Air India senior official. This unruly behaviour had not gone unnoticed by the airline and was reported to the DGCA, a regulatory body of civil aviation. Senior Air India Official Was Slapped On Sydney-Delhi Flight
A senior Air India officer was said to have been slapped by a passenger on the Sydney-New Delhi flight. The situation started when the passenger tried to chastise his fellow traveller for speaking too loudly. Due to the seat issue, the passenger had previously been relegated from business class to economy. According to an India TV News report, a source claimed that the passenger was not restrained by the Air India cabin crew despite the physical assault.
On July 9, 2023, a passenger on board a flight from Sydney to Delhi engaged in unacceptable behaviour. He continued this behaviour despite verbal and written warnings, upsetting other passengers, including one of their staff. The passenger was turned over to the security agency after the aircraft made a safe arrival in Delhi, and the passenger later expressed regret in writing.

DGCA Was Informed About The Incident!
The airline statement said that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) had been informed about the event. Additionally, it declared that the airline would firmly oppose misbehaviour. To the fullest extent of the law, they will pursue this matter.
India TV News reported that the Air India employee was given seat 30-C, but he opted to move because there were other passengers. He was then given a new seat in 25 ABC.
Regarding the passenger’s loud speech, the official started correcting his co-passenger. He was slapped, his head was turned, and abused by the passenger sitting next to him. The airline official hurried to the back seats as the five young cabin employees struggled to control the unruly guest.

This passenger had been playing with the safety gear and roaming around the galley. A verbal and written warning was given to the guest, and the male cabin supervisor was summoned.
