We are disheartened, scared, and enraged hearing the heart-wrenching news of an Air India cabin crew member getting assaulted in London. According to multiple reports making rounds on social media platforms, she was allegedly assaulted in her hotel room in London. Air India responded to this horrifying incident and is currently working with the local police regarding it.

According to a report by Business Standard, an assailant barged into the woman’s hotel room in the England capital. A homeless man entered her room and attacked her. Air India reacted to the news making rounds all around and confirmed the unbelievably scary incident reported at Heathrow’s Radisson Red Hotel. Unfortunately, people previously complained about the lack of proper security at this hotel in London.

The intruder barged into the hotel room when the cabin crew member was resting at night. According to a report by The Hindu, the man used a hotel key card to enter inside. He punched her eye and assaulted her. A report by The Times of India stated that the attacker mercilessly attacked her with a cloth hanger. When she tried to run away, the assailant dragged her straight to the floor. Shocked by all these horrifying things, she began shouting and crying for help.

Hearing someone yelling, people rushed to her room. Everyone came together to save the victim. Also, people present at the location nabbed the intruder. Soon, she was taken to a hospital. Some sources of Air India revealed that two airline officials travelled to London from Mumbai to bring her back safely. She has flown back to Mumbai.

The Airline Released A Statement

Following the disheartening incident, Air India issued a statement. The spokesperson called it an “unlawful incident of intrusion” and stated that everyone felt deeply anguished. The airline mentioned about providing all possible support including professional counselling to the victim and her colleagues as well.

Police have arrested the intruder. London police are conducting a probe regarding this alarming incident at Radisson Red Hotel.
