Come May 2024 and you will be able to take direct flights to Malaysia from Gujarat. AirAsia has decided to add this new route to its ever-growing flight network. The airline has launched a new route to Kuala Lumpur from Ahmedabad that will be operational from 1st May 2024. The prices of tickets on this route are affordable and will help ease travel between the two destinations to a greater extent.

AirAsia Expands Connectivity, Introduces New & Direct Flights

AirAsia has launched a brand new flight route to its expanding network to and from India. This route will mark direct flights to Kuala Lumpur from India’s first UNESCO World Heritage City – Ahmedabad. The flights on this route are set to take off on May 1, 2024. The airline’s first step into Gujarat from Malaysia also marks its eleventh route from India. This new route makes it AirAsia’s third new connectivity announcement in 2024 alone.

Besides improving connectivity, these flights are also reasonably priced. As per the promotional fares, travellers from Ahmedabad can book a flight to Kuala Lumpur for just ₹7,999. Similarly, it will cost just RM209 (roughly ₹3,688) from Kuala Lumpur to Ahmedabad if you book your flights till 28 January. The travel period for this offer is between 1 May 2024 and 19 March 2025.

AirAsia’s Bid To Expand Footprint In India

AirAsia first came to India in 2008. It has since then added many destinations to its name and given its passengers a pocket-friendly fare with each new route. As of now, AirAsia operates quite a few routes directly from India to Malaysia. These include flights from cities like Chennai, Tiruchirappalli, Kochi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Kolkata. Furthermore, the airline also offers an affordable and accessible Fly-Thru option. This way guests travelling from India to Malaysia can utilise Kuala Lumpur as a connecting hub to other destinations covered by AirAsia.
