Ajinkya Rahane’s Father Followed Him On First Solo Mumbai Local Journey
A man of talent, humility, sportsmanship, and courage, these words perfectly describe cricketer Ajinkya Rahane. He said, “My dad had asked me to travel from Dombivli to Shivaji Park stadium alone. He said that he was not getting a leave. I was only seven years old with a heavy kit on my back in an overcrowded Mumbai local.”
Ajinkya adds that in reality, his dad had followed and observed him through another compartment. The heartwarming moment assured that his dad looked out for his son and always had his back. The cricketer grew emotional recalling this heartwarming moment. He recognised his father’s unwavering sacrifice and will to make him independent as the foundation of his success.
