The new addition to the commercial aviation sector, Akasa Air’s first flight – a 72 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft arrived from Seattle at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. With the arrival of one of its first flights, Akasa Air will soon be able to obtain its air operator’s permit (AOP). The AOP is a mandate needed for airlines to operate commercial flight operations in India. The coming of the new airline service will increase competition amongst the other airlines in the country.

Akasa Air’s Launch In Commercial Flying Soon
The airlines already took the necessary permissions for the flights’ commercial launch from the Ministry Of Civil Aviation in August last year. The airlines had an overall smooth functioning, sealing a nine billion-dollar deal to purchase 72 MAX planes. The first flights will reach India by March 23, whereas the rest of them will be delivered in the next four years.
Akasa Air will officially begin operations from July end.

Akasa Made A Nine Billion-Dollar Deal With Boeing
The airlines made a whopping 9 billion deal for delivering 72 Max planes, which ‘superior efficiency in reducing fuel use and carbon emissions’ which will help the brand maintain sustainability. Akasa claims to be an environmentally friendly brand, with a vision to build ‘India’s greenest, most dependable, and most affordable airline’.
