As a beloved annual tradition, these iconic mini trains temporarily halt their operations from June to October due to the monsoon season’s safety concerns. But now, the wait is over, and the tracks are ready to come alive once again. Starting November 4, 2023, passengers can embark on this charming journey through the Western Ghats, as four daily trains will whisk them away on a memorable ride.

As per the Financial Express, the Central Railway has announced the resumption of the Neral-Matheran train services, starting on November 4, 2023.

Neral to Matheran Down Train Services:
- Train 52103 departs from Neral at 08.50 hrs and arrives in Matheran at 11.30 hrs.
- Train 52105 departs from Neral at 10.25 hrs and arrives in Matheran at 13.05 hrs.
Matheran to Neral Train Services:
- Train 52104 departs from Matheran at 14.45 hrs and arrives in Neral at 17.30 hrs.
- Train 52106 departs from Matheran at 16.00 hrs and arrives in Neral at 18.40 hrs.
The train numbered 52105/52106 is set to make the journey even more enjoyable with six coaches, including three second-class coaches, one first-class coach, and two second-class cum luggage vans.

- Train 52158 departs from Matheran at 11.35 hrs and arrives at Aman Lodge at 11.53 hrs.
- Train 52160 departs from Matheran at 14.00 hrs and arrives at Aman Lodge at 14.18 hrs.
- Train 52162 departs from Matheran at 15.15 hrs and arrives at Aman Lodge at 15.33 hrs.
- Train 52164 departs from Matheran at 17.20 hrs and arrives at Aman Lodge at 17.38 hrs.
