Alp’Fest: A French Feast In Dubai With Cheese, Culture And Culinary Flair
Kicking off on 19th November with an opening night dinner, Alp’Fest unveils Le Chalet, a charming pop-up restaurant created to transport diners straight to the French Alps. You’ll savour the talents of Chef Nicolas Copin from La Ferme du Chozal and cheese maestro Jean Rodrigues, both of whom bring an authentic taste of Savoy. Add in live music by Echo de l’Alpe, and you’re in for a cultural feast to remember!
For all Fondue fanatics, Alp’Fest has something extra special this year, Dubai’s first-ever Fondue Contest! On Thursday, 21st November, professional fondue makers will battle it out from 2 pm to 6 pm, serving up pots of gooey, cheesy goodness in hopes of fondue glory. Then on Friday, the competition opens to amateurs and teenagers, a perfect way for everyone to dip into the fun. Imagine the thrill of tasting fondue at its finest, with contestants giving their all in this ooey-gooey competition.
A Tasty Twist This Year
And it doesn’t end with cheese. On the same evening, celebrity Chef Nicolas Copin will bring his culinary magic to the gala dinner as new members join the Confrérie de la Fondue Savoyarde, the elite cheese-loving society. With limited seats, this dinner is the hot ticket for food lovers looking for an unforgettable night with a French twist.
Le Chalet pop-up, located at the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah, will be open daily from 20th to 22nd November from 6:30 pm to 11 pm, offering a nightly feast for anyone seeking the flavours of Savoy. From rich cheeses to hearty dishes crafted by masters of French cuisine, it’s like a mini vacation to the Alps right in the heart of JBR.
