Animals make the world a better place to live, and there are very few who value their existence. And one such person is the music icon, Cher. American Popstar Cher has always done something for wildlife, and here’s why we are so proud of her. Cher flew down to Karachi, Pakistan to meet the Asian elephant Kaavan, who is also known as the loneliest elephant in the world. Cher met the elephant, sang for him before he shifts to his new home in Cambodia.
Cher Has Also Written A Song For Kaavan And His Journey
Cher who has written songs calling for Kaavan to be rescued from the lonely condition at the zoo will meet the elephant upon its arrival in Cambodia after she spent the last few days with him in Islamabad. For Kaavan, he is a 36-year-old elephant who lived pitiful life in Islamabad’s zoo. And after a lot of global outrage and protest, Kaavan will finally be relocated to a better place in Cambodia. Wildlife activities also said that the conditions in which the poor elephant was living resulted in his mental illness, leading to a petition signed by more than 400,000 people to free the chained elephant.
Kaavan Will Now Live A Better Life In Cambodia
On this, Cher in a statement to a leading daily said,
“My wishes have finally come true”. “We have been counting down to this moment and dreaming of it for so long and to finally see Kaavan transported out of (Islamabad) zoo will remain with us forever.”
