India is currently in its festival season. Across the country, from Ganesh Chaturthi to Navratri, people are gearing up for a variety of different festivals. As is customary, many people travel to their hometowns and as such, fares for travel can be steep. This is the case this year for airfares. Amid this spike, IndiGo is offering a month-long discount of up to 20 per cent. Here are all of the important details that you would need to know about the discount.

If you are looking to book flights in the coming weeks, you must have noticed how high the prices are. Well, to combat the high airfares and make travel affordable for all, IndiGo is offering a discount of up to 20 per cent.

According to an article which was recently published by Moneycontrol, this discount can be availed of by booking tickets from their website and mobile app. The airline made an announcement regarding this in an official statement they released recently.

In the statement, they launched the ‘Add-Ons’ Fiesta which will go on for a month. So customers can avail of this offer till September 30, 2024. They are also free to choose their preferred seating options through their ‘Seat Select Feature.’

Other Important Details That You Would Need To Know

In addition to the seat select feature, IndiGo is also offering Fast Forward Service. This feature allows passengers to get priority check-in and boarding. Passengers are also free to book meals that also have priority services which will ensure that their journey is comfortable and smooth.

If reports are to go by, it seems that airfares are rising drastically during this festival season. As per the Moneycontrol article, the price pressure increased as there has been a rise in advanced flight booking by 30 to 35 per cent compared to the previous year. The brunt of this price gouging will be borne by travellers during the Diwali season.
