Pangong Lake, the world’s highest saltwater lake, is located at a height of around 4,350 metres above sea level. The barren mountains that surround it contrast sharply with the water’s apparent blue colouring. The Pangong Lake, which is about 160 km long and has a third of its length in India, is shared by China and India.
