While talking about food habits in Punjab, he recollects a couple of funny stories; read on.
Foodie Ammy Virk Bunked Tuition Classes To Eat
Actor and singer Ammy recalled his school days in Punjab and how he used to bunk tuition classes to relish delish chole kulche. He shared that he was enrolled for physics tuition at 6 AM. This subject didn’t particularly interest him. So he bunked the morning physics classes to eat at the roadside vendors.
Ammy revealed that he consumed glasses of sugarcane, sweets, chole kulche and more at 6 in the morning! In his defence, he said that there was nothing to do, except for eating. It was not always a good thing for his body as he continued, “The effect after drinking sugarcane juice early in the morning is similar to that of consuming alcohol!” Its sugar content was extremely high and the sugar rush was instant, hence this observation was made.

Once He Didn’t Have Money To Pay For Chole Kulche
Continuing on the same topic, Ammy told us that he once didn’t pay the chole kulche vendor. Back then, he and his cousin had just learned to drive a scooter. So, they took the scooter, filled its tank with the money Ammy had and ate chole kulche. The actor only had ₹20-25 for petrol and used all of it, not knowing that his cousin wasn’t carrying any additional cash on him.
After relishing the food, they realised their blunder and were ashamed to admit it to the shopkeeper. Their only plan was to run away without paying. So he ordered his cousin to start the scooter while he also ordered two additional plates of kulche! He carried the packed food and ran away in their scooter before being caught.
