India’s longest sea bridge, AKA Atal Setu, ever since its inauguration by PM Modi on January 12 has piqued the interest of Mumbaikars. Thousands of people have travelled on the bridge which cuts travel time between Sewri to Nhava Seva from 2 hours to a whopping 20 minutes. Mahindra Group Chairman, Anand Mahindra is no different. Recently, the business whizz drove on Atal Setu and described the experience as “hovercraft gliding on water”.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Anand Mahindra shared a video from his recent drive along the newly inaugurated Atal Setu sea bridge. He also reposted the viral picture that shows the stunning views from the bridge at dusk. In his caption, the Mahindra Group honcho stated that he finally got the opportunity to drive on the Atal Setu the previous weekend.
He goes on to praise India’s longest sea bridge by calling a “a fine piece of engineering”. Describing his experience, Anand Mahindra stated that it felt like a hovercraft gliding on water. Furthermore, he states that he travelled to and returned from Pune during the daytime. So, he was unable to experience the magnificent view at dusk like the one in the viral picture. But not too long from now, Anand Mahindra plans to go on yet another long drive on the Atal Setu.

And urged the need for more such projects to catch up on reducing the nation’s infrastructure deficiency. @amit6060 shared that in the first 15 days of its opening, the Atal Setu bridge witnessed 4.5 lakh vehicles and a toll collection amounting to ₹9 crore.
