Anand Mahindra Is Planning To Visit This Stunning Village In Kerala In December; Here’s All About It

If you’re not following the Mahindra Group honcho Anand Mahindra on X (formerly Twitter), keeping up to date with his travel recommendations and his insightful posts, then what are you even doing? This time, the entrepreneur revealed his deepest desire to visit one of the most beautiful villages on Earth this December. And the best part? It’s right here in Kerala, India!

Kadamakkudy In Kerala Is On Anand Mahindra’s Wishlist This Year

Taking to his X handle, Anand Mahindra shared a video posted by the account @the_explorer and reposted by Earth_Wanderer. What’s most stunning about this video is that it gives an enticing glimpse of Kadamakkudy in Kerala. Mahindra explains that it’s often listed as one of the world’s most beautiful villages. The billionaire revealed that Kadamakkudy was on his wishlist, and he plans to make a short trip to the village during his business trip to Kochi in December.

Sitting just 30 minutes away from Kochi, Anand Mahindra sees no reason why he shouldn’t combine leisure with business. Nestled in the Ernakulam district of Kerala, Kadamkkudy is a cluster of 14 islands. Just 10-15 kilometres from Kochi, this natural retreat is easily accessible from the city and can even be a great weekend getaway or a day-out spot.

The Cluster Of Islands Is Known For Its Slow, Scenic Life

The tranquil retreat’s crown jewel is Valiya Kadamakkudy, the primary island. Supporting it are its companions, Murikkal and Palyam Thuruth islands. Think meandering backwaters, vast stretches of lush green paddy fields and simple village life. It’s a space that demands you to hit the pause button, take out your phones for a few Insta-worthy clicks and just spend some much-needed moments in mindfulness.

The post-monsoon season from October to March is the perfect time to visit Kadamakkudy. And if you’re lucky, you might spot Anand Mahindra there this December. In Kadamakkudy, tiny islands are connected by narrow bridges and canals. Coconut groves line the waterways while local fishermen with their Chinese fishing nets are seen busy at work. Dramatic sunrises and sunsets are an everyday affair, and so is peace in abundance.

What can you do at Kadamakkudy? Well, you can pay a visit to the ancient Roman Catholic church, St. George’s Forane Church and Vallarpadam Basilica. For nature lovers, photographers and birdophiles, the Mangalavanam Bird Sanctuary, a nesting ground for migratory birds, is a must-visit spot.

Like Anand Mahindra, Netizens were equally drawn to visit Kadamakkudy, with many calling it ‘heaven on Earth’ and ‘perfect escape’. Well, do you also wish to visit Kadamakkudy?
