In an act of extreme devotion, Anant Ambani, the youngest child of Mukesh Ambani, has gifted a 20 kg gold crown worth ₹15 crore to Lalbaugcha Raja in Mumbai. This act of generosity is timed before the up and coming Ganesh Chaturthi festival.

Anant Ambani has been associated with Lalbaugcha Raja for more than 15 years now. He has consistently provided financial assistance towards the Lalbaugcha Raja committee. There were several other ways in which he developed this relationship. He has also been responsible for supporting a number of health projects for the committee through the Reliance Foundation.

As it happened, when the committee was going through its worst period during the COVID pandemic, it suffered financial loss. Anant Ambani donated 24 dialysis machines for the committee’s patients aid fund.

He was of extreme assistance when it related to the efforts of the said committee. Not so long ago, he got appointed to the Lalbaugcha Raja committee as an executive advisor. He comes in for Ganeshotsav and sits through the immersion of the idol at Girgaon Chowpatty Beach.

The Most Popular Ganesh Mandal In Mumbai

Yesterday was the day that revealed the first glance of Mumbai’s Lalbaugcha Raja for this year considering today is Maharashtra. The idol was primarily maroon with heavy jewelry and the highest gold crown, which is a new donation. The idol was capped with this crown, which had been worked on for two months and was used for the decoration of the idol.

Lalbaugcha Raja, known as the “King of Lalbaug,” holds the crown for being the most popular Ganesh mandal in Mumbai. Every year, it welcomes thousands of devotees and provides a grand celebration of Ganeshotsav. This festival, which is one of the main festivals celebrated in Maharashtra, begins on September 7 and lasts ten days. It is full of festivities and rituals that culminate in the grand visarjan, when idols of Ganesha are taken in procession and immersed in water, accompanied by chants and music.

Morning Pooja: 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM
Afternoon Pooja: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Evening Pooja: 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Morning Aarti: 7:00 AM – 7:15 AM
Afternoon Aarti: 1:00 PM – 1:15 PM
Evening Aarti: 7:00 PM – 7:15 PM
