On the recent Sunday Brunch episode, beautiful baes from ‘Call Me Bae’ met our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, for a candid interview. Actors Ananya Pandey, Vihaan Samat, Varun Sood, and Gurfateh Pirzada were invited to the rainforest-themed restaurant Amazonia in BKC for their promotions to have loads of fun conversations, play games and more. We also learned about the stars’ love for Sindhi food. Read on!
Ananya, Vihaan And Kamiya Bonded Over Sindhi Food Items
The cast members of ‘Call Me Bae’ were treated to mouthwatering pizza, salads, sushi, dumplings, and more at the Amazonia. Everyone was ecstatic to see the flavoursome spread of food and couldn’t wait to dig in! Kamiya then asked them about their comfort food.
Vihaan, a Sindhi, gave us a wholesome answer, “My nani makes a Sindhi curry, which I really love since I was a kid!” As a Sindhi, Kamiya was pleased to hear this response and instantly connected with him! This is what happens when two Sindhis get together and bond over their love for the cuisine.
Ananya also shared her love for Sindhi food and mentioned, “I love Sindhi curry and aloo tuk; it’s my favourite. And sai bhaji, it’s too good!” Her co-star, Vihaan, had the same views about this appetising meal combination. He told us that he likes to sprinkle a good amount of chilli and mango powder on top to enhance the flavours! That sounds interesting, we will definitely try it next time!
Lastly, Kamiya commented, “I feel so good when people praise Sindhi food because it’s so delicious!” Vihaan immediately agreed and considered this cuisine to be “underrated”.

What About The Others?
Although Ananya declared her love for Sindhi food, her comfort food remains the most common food combo ever! Any guesses? It’s butter chicken and cheese naan, of course! Gurfateh only chose butter chicken while Varun picked mac n cheese. Now, their fans are aware of the actors’ comfort food!
