Why Did It Take 12 Years To Finalise The Capital?
According to a report by Glute, to lock up capital for Andhra Pradesh, it took 12 years for the state to officially lock its capital, and this step involved a political process, including the legislation in the parliament, which is said to be a rare sight.
The delay is due to the fact that the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh was facing hurdles in developing the capital region. As a result, the authorities had to take several legal and judicial actions to finalise Amaravati’s status as the sole and rightful capital of the state.
