Ankush Bahuguna

Ankush Bahuguna is a trailblazer in the men’s makeup scene. The makeup influencer and comic writer recently toured the streets of Delhi’s Mayur Vihar Phase 1 with us on our show, Tere Gully Mein. During the food hunt, Ankush candidly spoke about his favourite street food, career in comedy and the heartbreaking ordeal he faced post his digital arrest.

Ankush Bahuguna Believes Mayur Vihar Is As Good As Lajpat Nagar For Food

While gorging on Ram Laddoos from Prem Pakodas, Ankush Bahuguna opined that street food from Mayur Vihar is very underrated. We couldn’t stop taking in the sight and smell of the hot plate of Ram Laddoos topped with freshly made green chutneys and slivered onions. “Why should we go to Lajpat Nagar when you can get everything here?” asked Ankush.

“Street food here (Mayur Vihar) is very underrated,” he remarked. The influencer said that while nobody talks about it, the street food of Mayur Vihar is actually very good. Apart from juices, shakes, Ram Laddoos and chaat, Ankush even revealed that a spot in Mayur Vihar serves great chaap as well. While Ankush admitted to not being a chaap person, he did reveal that the neighbourhood serves great chaap, a recommendation by his friends.

A Food Trail That Covered Chaat, Ram Laddoos & Shakes

Well, we can’t help but agree with Ankush that street food in Mayur Vihar Phase 1 is actually splendid. After all, we did try out the influencer’s haunts like Lucky Juice & Shakes, Hathras Sweets, Bansal Sweets, and Prem Pakodas. And everything we tried, from the chaat to the shakes to the Ram Laddoos, was worth coming back for! So, if you feel Lajpat Nagar is the only place in Delhi for great street food, think again! Mayur Vihar gives it tough competition, and how! Like Ankush said, it’s an underrated place, almost a hidden gem amongst foodies.
