Another Day, Another Revelation! Glue Used In OceanGate Sub Was Like Peanut Butter, Says CEO

The tragic implosion of the OceanGate Titanic submarine is making headlines since the last month. It has been some time since the news completely shocked the entire world and new reports are coming in front of us even now. All these new news are mostly about the behind-the-scenes of constructing the vessel and these are quite shocking and shows how the CEO Stockton Rush dismissed some things.

OceanGate CEO Previously Talked About The Glue Used In Holding The Carbon-Fibre Hull Together

Back in the year 2018, Stockton Rush discussed the construction and development of the submersible in a video uploaded on the YouTube channel of OceanGate. This video was about him taking a look at the attachment between the carbon-fibre hull with the titanium ring of the submersible. He compared the glue used on the carbon-fibre hull to peanut butter. Rush added that the glue was very thick in consistency and not like Elmer’s glue.

Along with talking about the peanut butter-like glue, the CEO also shared some shocking information about the design of the submersible. Stockton added in a part of the video that the design was “pretty simple”. But there was “not a lot of room for recovery” in case they messed up anything.

Many People Were Concerned About The Vessel’s Safety Issues

Several reports online are discussing how the OceanGate CEO did not focus on all the warnings related to this submersible and neglected a few safety precautions and warnings about it. Some experts and former employees of the company previously talked about the probable concerns of the vessels with the OceanGate CEO. They warned him about the safety issues of the sub and how it might simply fall into pieces or crumble in the depths of the ocean. The pressure is always very intense in the ocean depths and many people feared an accident before.

5 people were onboard this Titanic submersible to see the wreckage underwater. Stockton Rush, Hamish Harding, Paul-Henri Nargeolet, Shahzada Dawood, and his son Suleman Dawood lost their lives in this morbid accident.
